From the top of Mount Agassiz, part of the San Francisco Peaks, you can see Mount Humphreys (12,643 feet altitude) in the distance. The Peaks lie just north of Flagstaff, Arizona and are known as Nuvatukya'ovi ("Snowy Mountain High Place") in the Hopi language. The Navajos call these Peaks Do'ko'oslid, "abalone shell mountain." On the day this photograph was taken, my mom and I took the Arizona Snowbowl Scenic Skyride via the Agassiz chair lift and marveled at the spectacular view.
